Possible reason why John Cena-Undertaker segment didn’t take place on Raw 25th

A segment between Undertaker and John Cena was heavily rumored to take place during the 25th Anniversary episode of Raw this week but it obviously didn’t happen.

Dave Meltzer talked about it during the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio and revealed a possible reason why the company decided to keep these two stars apart during the event.

He indicated that with Royal Rumble taking place this Sunday, the company felt that this was the only time they had to set up a feud between the Leader Of Cenation and Elias.

On the other hand, there is still time to set up a match between Cena and Taker and Meltzer believes that an angle between them will take place in the next few weeks.

As noted before Samoa Joe was originally scheduled to have a rivalry with John Cena prior to WrestleMania but his injury caused the plans to change and WWE chose Elias as his replacement for the feud.

If they were to fire someone from this site, in order to make it better, who would you fire?

Oh, but when you say that Meltzer is not the be all and end all of information in wrestling and should not be used as “confirmation”, you stop him fapping so he can white knight his holy lord and saviour, and tell you “it is all a matter of perspective”.

Why don’t you people get over it Undertaker is done with wrestling. You need to expect the fact that he is never wrestling again.

Agree 110%. This site is turning into a copy and paste from Meltzer. I am about to stop going to this page and just listen/read the Wreslting Obersever Newsletter. It’s starting to get a tad ridiculous.

That’s the same thing I was thinking. Although I am not a, “wrestler” Cena fan, I do however think that a match between taker and Cena needs a couple months of building. I really hope they don’t start this right after Elimination Chamber and only build it for a few weeks.

Bajpai maybe its stop u stop fapping over everything meltzer says and then post it here likes its fact as u are coming across as some little boy who believes everything it reads

See this is where all these rumours start to fall apart.
In one of the Samoa Joe articles we were told that he was supposed to face Cena in a match mid March, but was pulled from it, which means that even if he were back before Mania, he would unlikely appear due to a lack of time to build a feud.

So if that is the case, how could they have built a feud between Taker and Cena if the Joe feud was originally supposed to last until mid March?
Having Taker interfere during their feud would would have done absolutely nothing for Joe, and would have still only left WWE a couple of weeks to give Joe someone else to feud with at Mania.

Regardless of whether Joe is out until a few weeks before Mania or was feuding with Cena up until then, it would have left him a similar time to get into a new program, and Taker/Cena would have a similar length build as well.
