Possible reason why Sasha Banks is not popular in WWE locker room

Sasha Banks hasn’t appeared on WWE TV ever since Wrestlemania. She was frustrated with WWE’s booking, where she and Bayley had to drop their WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles to The Illconics at Wrestlemania. For this reason, she told WWE she wanted to quit.

Mike Johnson discussed this during PW Insider Elite audio where he provided an explanation as to why she isn’t popular in the locker room now. Here is what he had to say:

“There is a reason why she is so unpopular in the locker room at times. The general consensus of numerous people I have spoken to in the company was she wasn’t thrilled about her and Bayley being split up and she was even less thrilled about losing the tag titles feeling that they should have had a longer run to establish them and instead of kind of keeping it to herself and she probably made it too obvious which allowed anybody who didn’t like her or politically wasn’t a fan to use that against her. That led to her kind of taking a sabbatical.”

Sasha Banks played a major role in the Women’s Revolution in WWE, alongside Bayley, Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch, as a part of the 4 Horsewomen. We will get to know in due time what happens when she makes her return to the company. After all, WWE might be giving her a huge win at Money In The Bank.

We will keep you updated regarding Sasha Banks’ WWE status as we get to know more.

You don’t know how Sasha is acting all of this is rumors and speculation. What you do know is that she goes out there and drags the best out of everyone she performs against and when it’s time to give a woman on the roster a rub they put them with Sasha. There is absolutely nothing wrong with Sasha seeing the difference between how she is used and how say Alexa Bliss or Charlotte is used. If the company doesn’t believe her after all this time, when she delivers whenever they give her the ball. Then why should she stay and waste her prime years for a company that doesn’t believe she is a top star. There is nothing childish about this. It’s called believing and betting on yourself. Nothing about Sasha is lazy or entitled she has made the best of every situation she has been put in but a ceiling is there and she’s not being allowed to break it. They are booking her in a non stop holding pattern that has been almost 2 years now. These women only have so long where they can perform at a top level.

But most of this stuff has been said by men as well, so what is your point?

  • Nicholas Giambattista

Yes the WWE know what is going on but that is it. We will never know the whole story but now it looks like the dirt sheet has nothing better to talk about.

  • Keith Learmonth

I have a pretty good idea that WWE has taken a minor incident, and deliberately circulated rumours so that when it’s turned into a storyline later, people will think it’s “more real”.

  • EVH

exactly. SB is now seeing how this business goes when you play in the big leagues. You have to give other talent a shot at the spotlight once in a while to see what they have, if they click with the audience or not. They’re giving the IIconics a shot, let them have it. Banks will be in the championship picture soon enough, she just has to wait a while before they come back around to her. But she better make a mark because you have a lot of female talent waiting to make an impact on the main roster, (Toni Storm and Rhea Ripley)

  • Nicholas Giambattista

Pretty much nobody really knows what is going on with Sasha Banks and the WWE.

  • Keith Learmonth

“which allowed anybody who didn’t like her or politically wasn’t a fan to use that against her.”

That sentence right there should cast doubt on pretty much every other story you’ve reported about this, for the record. Sounds like people have been making stuff up to make her look worse.

    Disagree about Alexa and Lana

  • Rob ‘Richard Hammond’ Picken

A lot of those points are kind of true though

Name a group of women who do like each other? These same people have said the IIconics don’t have talent, Charlotte is only pushed because she’s blonde and Ric’s daughter, Alexa can’t work, Nia has no right on the main roster, Tamina is a wasted contract and that Lana is worthless, to name a few things. You show me a group of women who like each other and aren’t jealous of each other, and I’ll show you a bunch of actresses and liars.

    Stop with the clickbait

She’s becoming the new Austin Aries! When things don’t go her way she throws a temper tantrum and goes home. Sure, I can get how she’d be upset about being separated from Bailey and losing the tag titles, but there’s a way to deal with that in a far less destructive manner. Let’s throw it back to Drew McIntyre’s first run with WWE, he was poised to be a huge star, we all know about the “chosen one” not being a gimmick, Vince McMahon hand picked him, and then gave him the gimmick. Drew acted like Sasha, entitled and lazy. 6 years later Drew is performing better than ever, and will get his championship run sooner rather than later. I am a fan of Sasha’s, but I cannot condone childlike behavior when things don’t go your way.

  • Rob ‘Richard Hammond’ Picken

Sounds kind of pathetic really, I mean Sasha has some pretty valid points so if true I can’t really fault her for express that

  • CC

This is just the same stuff we have been told already.
    What is new about it?
