Dave Meltzer had stated on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Ronda Rousey is a lock for making an appearance at next year’s WrestleMania.
Due to this and the fact the Meltzer himself hinted about it, many believed that Rousey could make a surprise appearance at the Royal Rumble PPV as well.
However, Ryan Satin from Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting that the UFC Star has been filming a movie titled ‘Mile 22’ whose shooting began last month and is currently on hold.
According to him, a source has told them that the shooting for the film will resume for an extended period of time after the holiday season is over.
While the exact date for its wrap up is not known, it’s believed to be after Royal Rumble next month. Considering the fact that Ronda has not signed a deal with WWE so far either, it looks very unlikely that she will appear at the PPV next month.
Though things could always change and with the Women’s Royal Rumble match now being official, it’s possible that WWE will try to bring her in for the show.
