Punk and Axel Teaming Up Next Week, WWE SmackDown Rating, The Usos, More

– Friday’s episode of WWE SmackDown scored a 1.71 cable TV rating, up from the previous week’s year-low 1.66 number. Friday’s episode averaged 2.28 million viewers, down from last weeks 2.32 million average. This makes Friday’s show the least-watched first-run, non-holiday SmackDown since the series moved to Syfy in October 2010.

 


 

– New #1 contenders The Usos wrote on Twitter that it’s war time and they’re coming for WWE Tag Team Champions Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns. WWE star Curt Hawkins praised the tag team:

“Congrats to @WWEUsos …Best tag team in the business & now they’re gonna make that information official. #RAW”

– Sheamus vs. Damien Sandow in a Dublin Street Fight will take place on this week’s WWE SmackDown.

– WWE taped the following matches last night in North Charleston to air on WWE Superstars:

* The Miz vs. Wade Barrett

* Antonio Cesaro vs. Zack Ryder

Alex Riley replaced Matt Striker on Superstars commentary this week.

– As announced on RAW last night, CM Punk and Curtis Axel vs. Darren Young and Titus O’Neil has been announced for next week’s show.
