Randy Orton undergoes surgery

It seems there’s a reason that Randy Orton has been away from WWE TV for a while. The Viper hasn’t been seen since failing to capture the United States Championship from Jeff Hardy, at Backlash.

The WWE has revealed that Randy Orton has had surgery on his left knee. Apparently, Orton has needed the surgery since 2017. Below is the statement from WWE:

Randy Orton has undergone successful surgery to repair a medial meniscus tear in his left knee, WWE.com can confirm.

“I’ve known I needed the surgery since late last year, but I’ve been waiting for the right time to get my knee cleaned out,” Orton told WWE.com. “Right now was the right time.”

The Viper is currently recovering at home with his family, but he says he is “staying motivated to come back and dominate the blue brand.”

It’s unknown how long Orton will be out at the moment. We here at Wrestling-Edge wish Randy Orton a speedy recovery.
