– WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair will be a guest speaker at the United Fund of Marion County Inc.’s annual fundraising event in September in South Carolina. Flair also filmed a commercial this week for the lottery here in North Carolina.
– The pre-sale codes for WWE’s SmackDown and ECW tapings on November 17th in Philadelphia, PA are REY619 and CMPUNK2.
– The USA Network has truly gotten behind the guest host angle on RAW; the television spot for next week’s episode, which aired prominently during Thursday’s “Burn Notice”-“Royal Pains” block, focused only on Shaquille O’Neal’s performance last week and the upcoming appearance from Emmy winner Jeremy Piven. By featuring mainstream celebrities on the show, WWE has enabled USA to promote the weekly RAW telecast to viewers who are not part of the regular fanbase.
– WWE Champion Randy Orton will be featured in an advertisement for HMV in Great Britain. The ad will feature lyrics from Orton’s Voices theme song as the ad campaign features words from a song that inspired the celebrity featured. Stars who have been previously featured include George Lucas, Bruce Springsteen and Paul McCartney.
