As noted back in January, Batista was reportedly backstage at WWE Royal Rumble PPV for a meeting with Vince McMahon. The reason for the meeting was due to McMahon wanting Batista to appear at WrestleMania 32 in a non-wrestling role.
Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting that McMahon wanted Batista to be included in the legends segment at the event. That legends segment ended up being Mick Foley, Shawn Michaels, and Steve Austin coming to the ring after The New Day vs. The League of Nations match. The legends attacked LON and then danced with The New Day.
Batista turned down the offer because he was busy filming “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.”
