This week’s RAW saw the surprise return of Batista, as he attacked Ric Flair on his 70th birthday and made a statement, issuing a challenge to Triple H.
Dave Meltzer discussed this during Wrestling Observer Radio, where he said Batista wanted to be a heel due to how his previous stint in WWE turned out.
“So Hunter is the babyface in the feud. Unbelievable. Okay, I know because of what happened last time that Dave probably insisted on being the heel, but I mean Hunter is the one that everyone wants to be the heel in this thing, but yeah.”
Batista hasn’t competed in a match in WWE since leaving shortly after Wrestlemania XXX. He was supposed to win the WWE Championship, but Daniel Bryan’s Yes Movement and momentum changed that.
We will have to wait and see how the feud between Batista and Triple H builds up. We might be seeing more of Batista from now on.
