Recap Of Kevin Owens’ Appearance On ESPN SportsCenter

Kevin Owens appeared on ESPN’s SportsCenter on Tuesday night to talk to Jonathan Coachman about WWE.

Owens said he worked his first match on his 16th birthday and mentioned that he first watched wrestling when he was 11-years old. When he was a kid, he started training and knew that he would be a wrestler.

Coachman brought up how several NXT stars have been called up to the main roster recently. Coachman asked him what it was like to make the transition. Owens said that NXT was an amazing experience on its own as he went from the indies to an incredible place at the Performance Center. Owens explained that he started training in a barn then when he went to a place like NXT it was awesome. Owens also brought up that he attacked John Cena on his first night on the main roster. Coachman asked if he had a pressure attacking Cena. Owens said no and that he believed that he belongs on top in the WWE. Owens went on to say that he’s been doing this for 16 years and to attack the top guy in WWE on RAW in his debut made perfect sense.

Coachman asked him about making his WrestleMania debut at WrestleMania 32. Owens added that it was a great experience and that he is looking forward to competing at the event in the coming years. He did bring up that he lost his Intercontinental Title in a ladder match at the event and vowed to reclaim the title.

Coachman closed the interview by asking him about shooting down people on Twitter. Owens explains that he likes to reply to fans who are disrespectful.

Owens thanked ESPN for having him on the show, and this wrapped up the segment.
