The WWE has had to make some last minute changes to its Saudi Arabian event this week. John Cena was replaced by Bobby Lashley in the WWE Best in the World Cup, and Daniel Bryan reportedly won’t be attending WWE Crown Jewel either.
Now it seems another bombshell has been dropped. According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, Renee Young will join the Monday Night Raw announce team for Crown Jewel on Friday. PWS sources revealed that the company has been working on this since her debut at the desk back in September.
It’s unknown what guidelines the WWE and Renee Young will have to follow during the event. Earlier this year, there was an uproar, forcing the Saudi General Sports Authority to issue a public apology after an ad for the WWE Network was played on the big screen.
Bayley, Naomi Banks, Carmella, and other female superstars were shown wearing their ring gear, which sparked some outrage in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
