In what is likely to be a sign he is no longer with the company, former WWE World Champion Rey Mysterio was quietly moved to the Alumni section of WWE.com this afternoon.
There has been talk for some time that Mysterio could be released before the end of this month, and it is no secret he and WWE have been at odds over his contractual status for some time.
In terms of what’s next for the Latin star, Lucha Underground could be a possible destination and they have been making several hints about someone “fans know well” introducing Konnan to Prince Puma with Mysterio being a possible candidate.
If Mysterio were to make the move, it would reunite him with former WWE rival Alberto El Patron (Del Rio in WWE) and longtime friend Konnan.
