Former WWE star Rey Mysterio recently had an interview with Sports Illustrate where he talked about various things such as Lucha Underground, WCW and more. Below are some of the highlights of the interview.

Talking about Impact Wrestling, Mysterio revealed that he was actually in talks with the company a while ago and if the circumstances were right he wouldn’t have mind working for them:

“I was actually in conversations a while back with Impact about doing some shows, To be honest with you, it’s not that I don’t want to go work for them, it’s just like I didn’t have it in my game plan. I also didn’t have Lucha Underground in my game plan before it was created. If the circumstances were right, I wouldn’t mind going.”

Continuing on the topic, the former WWE Star gave a hint as what went wrong with Impact, stating that he doesn’t want to sign a contractual deal. Though he said that he is still open to working with them:

“I’m not interested in signing a contractual deal, but I would love to do some shows. People want to see diversity in their opponents and fans want to see their dream matches. If people want to see a match-up, let’s make it happen.”

Apart from this, Rey also talked about his first match with Dean Malenko, Wrestlemania 33 and more.
