The Miz qualified for the WWE World Cup when he defeated Rusev at SmackDown 1000 this past Tuesday. The A-Lister joined John Cena, Kurt Angle, Seth Rollins, Dolph Ziggler, Jeff Hardy, and Randy Orton for the tournament which will take place at WWE Crown Jewel in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
However, The Miz’s win was overshadowed by the final qualifier of the tournament, Rey Mysterio, who bested the United States Champion Shinsuke Nakamura in the main event (sort of) of SmackDown 1000, beginning his return with a highly competitive win.
