Rey Mysterio’s Talks About His In-Ring Return & Addresses Thoughts Of Retirement

— Although advertised for an in-ring return during this week’s WWE tour of Mexico, it looks as if that won’t happen according to an interview Rey Mysterio gave to Below are the highlights:

On a Date For His In Ring Return: With this new procedure, it’s been floating around in the air. There’s not that much time left before the end of the year. I’m hoping that either Thanksgiving comes a little early or Christmas comes a little early.

Has He Given Thought to Retirement: No. I’m 39 years old and I know I’ve been doing this for quite some time, over two decades. Retirement is, for me, something that’ll be down the road, but not within the next two or three years. I feel like, with how medicine is evolving, something will be out there soon that can help you heal from arthritis. That might be what helps my longevity and pushes me to keep performing.

  • The dude needs to admit that his knees are shot. He can’t keep wrestling or he’s going to wind up crippled.

His knees are just way to banged up IMO. I like Rey and I also agree that it would be a great match. It’s just hard for Rey bc this isn’t wCw and there’s only a few guys that can wrestle his style and make it believable. But his comment on just wrestling and basing it on the hopes of a cure medicine is going to be his down fall.

That pretty well sums it up, he doesn’t have IT. Like they always like to say, no one knows exactly what that it factor is, but its almost always easy to tell when a guy has it or he doesn’t. Sin Cara just doesn’t, just look at his first few months in wwe compared to rays in wcw or wwe, you could just feel it when watching ray that he had the it factor, iv nvr felt that about Cara, and I don’t think anyone else has either.

Thank you for agreeing. I agree Sin Cara has had his chance, he is not the next Rey. The guy hasnt really done anything other than to botch, the last time i saw him on tv he was digging through garbage, he wasnt used properly and just didnt seem to have that it factor.

Id like that if for no other reason then to get rid of sin cara. They tried there best but he just didn’t work out, time to cut him lose and move on. Plus a mask vs mask match with a good build, and done properly could help mania reach a million buys, which there is concern that it wont, so every bit helps.

Before he was supposed to return in October, now December, his knee must be really messed up. Rey should return at the rumble and be eliminated by sin cara to set up a feud that would end in a mask vs mask match at WM30.
