Two time WWE Hall Of Famer Ric Flair took to his podcast The Ric Flair Show to comment on the possibility of Dolph Ziggler leaving the WWE:
On him hearing that Ziggler is leaving post- No Mercy and could possibly be working in the office next:
“Well, I’ve heard that, but I hope it’s not true. He has too much left to offer to the business, and I think, I hope I’m not letting the cat out of the bag, I think they want him to work in the office. But he loves Phoenix [Arizona] and I don’t know that that will happen, but he [has] got, he can be with the company as long as he wants to be. He’s that good. He’s that a nice guy and he’s that highly thought of, so he’s in a good place.”
Flair continued, “I think he’s still very much part of the roster and I like seeing him on TV, so I hope he doesn’t walk away from it this early. But if he does, I’m sure he [has] done well with his money. He [has] made a lot of money, so he’ll be okay.”
On if he thinks Ziggler ever got his due in WWE:
“No. I think he’s really a lot more talented than he [has] had a chance to show. He has a chance to show it, but it doesn’t seem to be consistent. It’s one week on, one week off for Dolph. And that’s the way it [has] been for two or three years for him.”
Flair added, “I think Dolph has just, I think he has so much ability and he [has] been there a long time. People forget. He [has] had a great run and a great career, but he’s still young, he looks like a million bucks, and I hope he stays longer.”
On who else didn’t get their due in WWE:
“Well, my favorite of all time, the guy I bring up all the time that never got his due was Arn Anderson. And there’ve been other guys, I mean, Barry Windham. I’m trying to think in recent times. I haven’t followed as close. I’ve been watching every week with Charlotte being on, obviously, and watching Sasha [Banks] and all the guys, and Roman [Reigns].
