Ric Flair vs. Sting or Kurt Angle?, TNA Hardcore Justice Matches

– The Albany Herald spoke with Ric Flair at a Walmart signing yesterday. Regarding his return to the ring for TNA, Flair said:

“I don’t know for sure, but it will be either Sting or Kurt Angle. It just depends on whoever wins between them on Aug. 6. You got the scoop right there, brother.”

– Kurt Angle vs. Sting for the TNA World Title and Mexican America vs. Beer Money for the TNA Tag Team Titles are confirmed for TNA’s Hardcore Justice pay-per-view on August 7th.

I mean flair should wrestle near a dumpster near jimmie ray waffle and whiskey house in kentucky. my point is noone wants to see this old fossil at 64 years old wrestle. that is why vince force old dog to quit wrestling at wm24.

I think TNA just wants to claim they had Ric Flair’s “historic last title run,” despite the fact that no one considers their World title to mean anything.

Ric please… no… please, stop. You can be “GOD” outside of the ring and still take bumps there.

Gotta agree with the overall sentiment here. While I would enjoy seeing Ric Flair continue on as a Manager, Commentator or Faction Leader Role … there simply isn’t any way that he can be taken seriously anymore as a “legitimate” contender for ANY title. If TNA writes him in as such, it’s textbook TOKENISM.

I still think they should have (or should try to) build up Matt Morgan as a “immovable object” champion.

Let me guess. Flair probably thinks he is in the best shape of his life too. Flair should be like Sgt.Slaughter status.

i can accept and understand if angle lost to sting, since sting can still perform for the most part, but if angle won the title and lost to flair i think i would seriously stop watching tna. flair has no business getting title shots at this stage of his career. the momentary pop it would get would not last and ultimately make tna look less credible (sorta like when foley was champ)
and on joe having 0 points, i think they are building to him going apeshit and being dominant again, since they mention his 0 points and his temper constantly on tv

But moi this is TNA your talking about where Sting is the champion and Joe has 0 points.

WOooooooooo, sorry man, but your time has come and gone…. you would be a great manager, but not so much as a wrestler…. time for the “younger” generation to shine….
