Ricochet was one of the hottest wrestlers not to be signed to WWE at one point. Him signing to NXT was largely met with positive response, but he still has faced some criticism.
Ricochet was received well in WWE. He would have some great matches in his time in NXT and even went on to capture the NXT North American Championship. However, he still has garnered more negative reactions following the NXT UK contract news.
His decision to sign with WWE has led to quite a few fans calling Ricochet nothing but a “sell out.” This is despite Ricochet making it clear in his time at Lucha Underground that NXT was his goal.
Ricochet replied to one fan on Twitter, who claimed that Ricochet was a ”sell out.” He defended himself by saying how he has worked hard for fifteen years, where he worked in many independent promotions in different countries.
