Riki Fukuda Withdraws From UFC 133 Due To Injury

Riki Fukuda can’t seem to grasp much luck with the UFC.

At UFC 127 the Japanese import dropped a controversial decision to Nick Ring in his promotional debut. Virtually everyone watching felt Fukuda had clearly secured a decision win, everyone other than the judges that is.

Poised to make his return at UFC 133 against Rafael Natal, Fukuda has now run into more career problems.

Speaking out via his twitter account, Fukuda made it known that he was recently hit by a car, subsequently breaking his left knee/shinbone (tibial plateau). The injury is likely to require surgery, and will keep the Grabaka product out of action for months.

There’s been no word on a replacement for Natal at this point, who, like Fukuda, is still seeking his first octagon victory.
