The Rock Gives Non-PG Speech Following Survivor Series Pay-Per-View

Not only did The Rock score the pin over R-Truth in his tag bout against The “Awesome Truth” at Survivor Series but he nailed his WrestleMania opponent, John Cena, with a Rock Bottom after the match. He then spoke to the Madison Square Garden audience following the pay-per-view broadcast.

He started off his speech by saying “Can The Rock get some water? Jesus Christ!” The Rock told a ringside attendant “You better give The Rock some water, or I’ll kick your monkey ass.”

A loud chant then broke out with half the crowd chanting “You still got it!” while the other half chanted “Welcome back!” The Rock told the audience “to make up their damn minds.” He then addressed one-half of the crowd by saying “As far as you still got it, shit, I always had it!”

A “We want Ryder” chant then broke out. The Rock said “Yeah, I love him. I can’t believe how tall that son of a bitch is!”

A fan in the crowd yelled “Are you gonna cry?!” and The Rock responded, “Hell no! I’ll put boots to asses before I cry! There must be some good weed in NYC for people to ask if The Rock is gonna cry!”

The Rock continued speaking by saying that he came to entertain the fans tonight. He thanks them all and says tonight was the greatest night in the history of his WWE career. He says tonight is only the beginning and “the money isn’t that bad either.”

The Rock thanks the fans once more and says goodnight. He spent a lot of time shaking hands around ringside, including the announcers and attendants.

Does it really matter if The Rock left or stayed. He is going to wrestle at Mania when doesn’t have to.

  • Vic

This is hardly a non-PG speech. Bring back Stone Cold and you will get a REAL non-PG speech/promo.

  • Greg

Im with you man I think that it sucks that people are being put on the backburner bc the rock is back. But at the same time I appreciate the business that the rock does for WWE. It can only help to have his name on the card. And god willing when cena beats him at mania (and lets be honest rocky has no chance of winning that match) cena will go heel bc what better way to turn cena then to have him fuck over the biggest wwe babyface of all time (besides austin and hogan). This would be the perfect time to turn cena what better opportunity is there then witht the rock.

  • Tombstonepiledriver

I will admit that him being back is very good for the WWE. And like I said I am a Rock fan but I just get annoyed with everyone jumping on the Rock bandwagon and at the same time acting like the guys who are there everynight giving it their all dont mean shit compared to the Rock.

  • Greg

Your right he definitely should have but I think for awhile he was just trying to stay away so he could shake off the wwe stigma. For awhile his acting career wasn’t rele going anywhere and it was hard for him to get roles bc directors didn’t want a former wrestler. So he stayed away an let the rock sit on the shelf while Dwayne Johnson became a better actor. Now that his acting career has taken off a bit more hopefully he’ll come back more often.

  • Tombstonepiledriver

^^^ Thanks, I guess you do have some very valid points there but he could have made an occasional apperance even if it was in a non wrestling role.

  • Greg

No disrespect tombstone. Your one of the smartest guys on this forum

  • Greg

I don’t think rock turned his back on the fans. How long was he supposed to wrestle for? Wrestling is a very dangerous profession who are we to shit on the rock for leaving after years and years of wrestling and injuries taking their toll. Rock realized that he cud make more money and take less risks. Is there a single person here who wudnt have done the same thing? Rock also realized that as good as he is even the rock would become stale after awhile. Better that he left while he was on top rather then keep going til he went stale like cena did. It’s not turning your back in the business it’s called passing the torch.

  • Tombstonepiledriver

    LOL Stupid p—-one

  • Tombstonepiledriver

Fast 5 would have grossed millions with or without the Rock, So he does not get the credit for that pone.

  • Tombstonepiledriver

@david said so—He was not the star of Fast 5. In fact he was not in the majority of the scenes. As I said I am a Rock fan, I like most of his movies. But I lost a lot of respect for him. You all say that WWE shoved Cena down our throats but most of you are trying to shove the Rock and CM Punk down everyones throats.

  • david said so

@Tombstonepiledriver ok fast 5 grossed over 600 million so your theory makes no sense he left for a bunch of reasons all being good sure he should have came back but for you to say to revive his acting career is totally wrong all his movies get a ton of money and he signed on for g.i. joe a couple of weeks before coming back

  • Tombstonepiledriver

Oh yeah—-Lets not forget the movie where he was a football player and his daughter showed up and he dressed as a tree and did ballet. Sorry I forget the name of it but it put me in mind of Hulk Hogan playing Santa.

  • Liam Catterson

    The Rock said weed?????

  • Tombstonepiledriver

First let me explain, I am a rock fan. The Rock is awesome but, He did turn his back on the very thing that gave him his current fame and fortune for seven years. Did he sign the contract for GI Joe before or after announcing his return to the ring? I dont know and I doubt any of you do, You will claim to but do you really know? If it was after then that could explain alot. Now why all the hate on Cena who works hard and shows up every week because he truley loves the buisness and the fans?

  • Sam Tha Great

The Rock is great but he’s not gonna beat Cena at Mania, WWE can’t have their top guy buried if The Rock isn’t returning full time. Besides Hogan put The Rock over at Mania, so The Rock owes WWE one.

  • Andy

    Two things –

1…@tombstonepiledriver – I’m pretty sure the Rock’s movie career is not in jeopardy. For crying out loud, he’s filming GI Joe right now, and there is no doubt in my mind that that movie will win the box office on its opening weekend. I actually believe the Rock is back as much as he can be – you gotta give the guy props for trying to balance two high intensity careers.

2…I love how before all this, there was tons of hate on the Rock, and now everyone loves him again. I’ve always been a Rock mark, and now more than ever. We wrestling fans are a funny bunch.

  • Peep This

Not that Im a fan of the Tooth fairy, but due to small kids we did watch it. And while I love the Rock it was a hard sight to watch. LOL By you cant knock the movie as $$$$$$ wise it was very profitable for Disney. So you can clown on him for a foo foo shit movie but at the end of the day he got paid and them some. His movies unlike some other wwe jack offs are not flops they put up very respective numbers for the most part. The guy, Mr. Johnson is global known. You can say what ever you want but he killed the shit last night. He looked right on par as he never missed a beat. And GOD I hope they END the fucking PG crap and bring back a taste of the old days.
I just hope he beats Cena at mania. I cant see him jobbing to him

  • finallythekingjoinsin

    He pinned Miz not truth

  • kenn

I was there, the water part is incorrect. The crowd started chanting “GET HIM WATER!” And The Rock said, “you better get The Rock some water or NYC will kick your ass”

The event was amazing, I have been to multiple MSG and metro-area shows, this crowd was INSANE

  • voice of reason

i didnt see tooth fairy it just looked like a waste of 2 hours.

  • Tombstonepiledriver

Yall do know that after WM he will turn his back on the buisness and the fans again untill years later when he needs more self promotion cause his movie career starts to stink again and once again he has to do crappy movies like the “Tooth Fairy”.

  • Tombstonepiledriver

He said weed cause he wanted to know where he and Evan could get hold of some good shit.

  • Jbrd

    Hell yeah..Rock on Dwayne.

  • voice of reason

he said weed oohhh that’s so bad, i think the rock is a good performer & he was just living in the moment & so he should he had a great win & he got to knock cena on his rear.

  • Whatever

he said on television that the people era has begun, well, I hope so!
    sick of pg!

  • SusyRko

Man you can see in his eyes that he has passion for the bissness he always brigs it

  • Second City Saint

  • DuffManLovesHimSomeWrestling

This is the kind of promo Rock should do on television, a true Rock promo. Not some lame John Cena is a fruity pebble crap.

  • The greatest Entertainer ever ! ! The Rock ! !

  • Jake

    Legen…wait for it…..dary
