– According to The Hollywood reporter, GI Joe grossed $2.2 million last night in a limited release before opening everywhere today. The opening was “solid” and puts the movie on track to a $40 million – $45 million domestic opening, although the studio believes that they may be able to hit $50 million. If you include international markets, the movie may have a global opening of $100 million. The studio is anticipating the movie to hit $200 million internationally.
