Roman Reigns is hopeful for a complete Shield reunion

It was a memorable moment for fans when former Shield Members Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins reunited and won the tag-team titles at SummerSlam this past Sunday.

However, one star who was notably missing from this reunion was the third piece of this puzzle, Roman Reigns and many wonder if Reigns will join the new Tag Champs anytime soon.

During his interview on ESPN Sportscenter prior to yesterday’s Raw episode, Roman was asked about the shield reunion and he said that the main thing for him currently is the Universal Championship:

“The main thing for me right now, I’ve been in that Universal title picture, You can ask Seth or Dean if they were able to be in that same situation, that’s what you go for. You want to have that top title, and that’s definitely it.”

Though he didn’t completely rule out the possibility of the trio getting together and said that he is hopeful for it:

“Hopefully in the near future maybe, Not only to prolong my career maybe, because it does take it out of you running into those meatballs [Brock Lesnar, Braun Strowman, Samoa Joe] for 30 minutes at a time, but there’s just some kind of magic when the three of us get together and we’re just moving on all cylinders. It always seems to be a great time for the crowd.”

After tonight’s episode of Raw, it’s unclear in which direction Roman Reigns is headed to next. He came out during the promo of John Cena to confront him but ended up becoming his Tag Team Partner.

However, things got interesting later as he also accidentally delivered a Superman punch to the Leader of Cenation during their match. You can check out the complete Raw results here.
