After beating John Cena at No Mercy, many fans believe that the next possible dream match for Roman Reigns which should happen is against non-other than the Rock.
During his recent interview with the Mirror, Roman talked about this bout possibly taking place and said that he only sees it happening at WrestleMania:
“Yeah I mean, when I first heard about the match with Cena, I immediately was thinking ‘man, let’s save this, let’s do this at WrestleMania’. But when the time is right, the time is right. But in the same light, I can only see me and Rock going at WrestleMania. “
Though later the Big Dog also claimed if the Rock would want to get into the ring with him, he wouldn’t step back:
But at the end of the day, I know it’s a money match. And I’m the guy who is still in the ring, so if someone who isn’t in the ring every single night wants to come back in the ring, we now call it my yard, so he is going to have to come to me and then we’ll go from there. It won’t go down anywhere other than a WWE ring, that’s all I’m saying. If he wants to get it, then I’m not stepping back for anybody.”
While The Rock vs Roman Reigns would certainly be a money match worthy enough to main event WrestleMania, at this point Roman is being built up to face Brock Lesnar at the next installment of the Show of Shows.
So it’s safe to say that even if WWE has this match in mind, it wouldn’t be taking place anytime soon and fans will have to wait before they can see this mega-bout.
