Roman Reigns Says He Doesn’t Like the Idea of Turning Heel

Roman Reigns

Former WWE World Heavyweight and United States Champion Roman Reigns was recently interviewed by ESPN’s Cheap Heat podcast. You can check out the highlights here:

Reigns on the idea of turning heel:

“I mean, when you win and you’re whooping a lot of ass, you’re not that angry. Do you know what I mean? Like, I’ve been successful and whatever we’ve been doing, it seems to be working and it seems to continue to have loud reactions and nobody has been to more wrestling shows than me and the other guys on the roster.

“I understand reactions and that’s one thing that you can be as informed within the wrestling community and the internet as you want, but there’s one thing that I know and that’s listening to what kind of reactions are happening. “Who’s in the crowd? Are they kids? Are they women? Are they men? Are they men my age? Are they men older than me? Are they men younger than me?”

“So there are a lot of different things that are happening there. The one thing I like about my situation and if I think I were to commit to one, “I’m a bad guy now – I’m pissed and I’m going to try to take everybody out” then it’s only one, like, “boo”. Do you know what I mean? But when I’m out there, there’s all kinds of noise. There [are] all kinds of chants. It’s pandemonium, man. That’s how I like it.”

The title of this article should read,

“Roman Reigns doesn’t like the idea of making money.”

The reason why John Cena and Roman Reigns will NEVER be on the level of Hogan, Sting, Flair, Austin, Piper, HBK, Taker, Bret, Rock, Savage, Angle, and even Triple H is because they understood that it’s not about YOU it’s about the fans.

Hulk Hogan was the biggest and most popular babyface in history. They started booing him in the WWF around 1992. Their were plans to possibly turn Hogan heel had not the steroid allegations changed everything. After a honeymoon period in WCW, he started getting booed there too. He didn’t want to turn heel either, but he saw how huge the nWo was going to be and said “let me get in on that.” Turned out to be the best move of his career and for the industry.

I think people need stop booing Reigns and Cena and just day nothing. Don’t cheer, don’t boo. Just do NOTHING. Let them sit there in silence.

No wonder Boo-man Reigns and Cena suck, they refused to turn heel
