Roman Reigns is well on his way to another main event at WrestleMania 34. The former WWE Champion looks to add the WWE Universal Championship to his belt, as he will challenge Brock Lesnar for the title in a few weeks. However, before he can get to New Orleans, he must first fight his way through the accusations that he was part of a steroid ring for the past few years.
Reigns appeared on The Jim & Sam Show to promote a live event at Madison Square Garden tonight. While there, he was asked about the allegations against him. Richard Rodriguez, who has already been imprisoned for running the ring, claimed that Reigns was a former client.
Sam Roberts said that the scandal was, “totally false,” although that has yet to be proven. When asked what he thought about the case, Reigns stated the following:
At one point, it’s like…who is this [Rodriguez]? Where is this coming from? What did I do? Like, what the heck is going on? I’m just sitting at home playing with kids. I’m feeding babies and changing diapers, and doing dad stuff and then all of a sudden this happens.
I think it’s just a good lesson of where we’re at. If you have any kind of social media pressence; essentially, my Twitter is a billboard, unfortunately some people want to use whether it’s in a positive passion and a negative passion.
At the same time, it’s one of those deals where, I know me, I know what I have done, and I know what the truth is. You have to have one of those bulletproof mentalities where it’s like, these things are ricocheting off of me.
Filmmaker Jon Bravo has been working on a case regarding Rodriguez’s clients and partners and has called out Roman Reigns, among other wrestlers and Hollywood stars, as part of the list. Over the past few months, he has stated that he plans to release an in-depth report, showing irrefutable proof that Reigns was involved with Rodriguez in some capacity.
Bravo has said that he plans on releasing his 25-minute video tonight, on March 16th. However, nothing has been released as of this moment. We’ll keep you updated on any further developments.
