Roman Reigns thinks a match with John Cena will happen

Roman Reigns

In the recent times, John Cena and Roman Reigns have had some entertaining but heated twitter exchange and many people wonder if it will lead us to a match between the two.

During a latest interview on the Off The Board Podcast, Reigns was asked if a match with John Cena will happen in the wake of their twitter exchange.

Answering to it, the former World Champion replied positively and said that it will be a great way to honour both of their careers:

“I think so. If you’re here for the right reasons — and this doesn’t just go for wrestling, this is anything, this is what drives our world — you wanna be in there with the best. I think, what a great way to honor both of our careers and what we’re trying to do and the way we try to drive this train. What better way to do it than in the ring, one on one.”

It’s worth noting here that previously John Cena has also expressed his interest in facing the Big Dog in a one on one match somewhere down the line.

While currently, WWE doesn’t appear to be going down in this direction, considering that John is now spending more time away from WWE, it’s possible that Officials may have this match in their mind as a Passing The Torch bout.

How does a match between them “honor both their careers”?
I don’t see what “honor” Cena would get from it. At this point in time, Cena has pretty much done it all, so the only thing that would give him more “honor” to his career is facing actual legends.

Reigns could benefit from it as long as he beats Cena and beats him strong.
I am no fan of either man, but a Cena/Reigns feud is very one sided about what it will do for careers.
