Rumor killer on WrestleMania plans for The Rock

Roman Reigns’ illness obviously forced WWE to change a lot of their plans and its biggest example is Dean Ambrose’s heel turn taking place a lot earlier than originally expected.

However, a recent report suggested that this wasn’t the biggest change WWE had to make, and it claimed that the Rock was in the center of a even bigger plan that was nixed.

The report said that the original plan was for the Rock to win the Royal Rumble 2019 and then go on to challenge Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship at Wrestlemania.

Tough Dave Meltzer killed these rumors recently and talking about this on F4Wonline’s message board; he said “[it] didn’t sound believable. [This rumor is] Not true at all.”

No word yet on if the Rock is expected to be involved in WrestleMania in any capacity this year but we’ll keep you posted if any such detail comes to light.
