Rusev still with the WWE, will compete in Greatest Royal Rumble

For those of you that honor Rusev Day, we may have some good news for you. According to Jimmy Traina of Sports Illustrated, the Bulgarian Brute hasn’t left the company. In fact, he was replaced in the casket match so he could compete in the Greatest Royal Rumble match.

Originally, Rusev was scheduled to take on the Undertaker in a casket match at the event, but after Lana demanded he be removed from the match, the WWE swapped in the Ayatollah of Rock’n’Rolla and placed him in the 50-man Battle Royal.

Chris Jericho’s appearance is scheduled to be a one-off only, so it would be better to have the Undertaker beat him here instead of a talent who will be around full time.

So is the former United States Champion really getting set to leave? Is the WWE working on damage control? Or is this just another plan in an effort to get more fans behind Rusev?
