Ryder Says Hard Work Has Been Recognized, WWE HOF’er No-Shows Savage Show

– WWE Hall of Famer Greg “The Hammer” Valentine reportedly no-showed a Randy Savage Memorial Show in Hawkesbury, Ontario, Canada over the weekend. Valentine was scheduled to face Savage’s brother Lanny Poffo in the main event. According to the event promoter, Valentine demanded half of his money up a few months back and then left a drunken message on August 31st saying that the money they agreed on originally wasn’t enough, and he wouldn’t be coming unless he got more money. The story goes that Valentine called back on September 1st and apologized for the drunken message, saying he would come as long as he got the other half of his money wired to him before the event. The promotion behind the event, Great North Wrestling, wired Valentine the money but he no-showed anyway.
