Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins returned to WWE TV at Sunday’s Extreme Rules PPV event following the main event match between Roman Reigns and AJ Styles. Reigns retained his WWE Title against Styles. Once the match was over, Rollins ran to the ring and hit the Pedigree to Reigns. Rollins received a huge pop from the fans. Rollins closed the PPV event by holding the title and standing over Reigns.

Rollins has been out action after undergoing surgery to repair his ACL, MCL, and medial meniscus tears in his right knee in November.
With this angle, it’s expected that Rollins will challenge Reigns for the title at the Money in the Bank PPV next month.
