- It appears WWE is strongly considering adding a third person to the Batista vs. Randy Orton match for the WWE World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania XXX. The latest internal line-up says, “Batista vs. Orton vs. ?”

Other matches that have been pitched but not decided on include Big E vs. Dean Ambrose to unify the Intercontinental and United States Titles, Luke Harper & Erick Rowan vs. Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns, Sheamus vs. Christian, Cody Rhodes vs. Goldust and some kind of NXT match on the main card.

Thanks for your response. The reason why I think they should drag it past WM is because I’m concerned that if they have him in the main event at WM in a three way match against Batista and Orton, they will book it to where he (Bryan) gets “buried” so to speak. I say this because I’m thinking that when Batista signed with the wwe, perhaps part of his contract includes a WM victory? But who knows what direction Vince and his cronies have in mind. If WM is anything like most Monday nights, they’ll end up changing the script MANY times throughout the day of WM before it goes live. I just hope that they don’t work Punk back into this whole equation because I think he not only quit on the wwe…he also quit on the FANS by walking away. But that situation is another entirely different can of worms! The wwe really needs to right this ship soon because they’ve got several irons in the fire that need taken care of sooner rather than later.

I don’t think they should drag the Bryan thing out past WMXXX. I think Wrestlemania needs to be the big payoff for the fans.

Only thing I would change is, have the handicap match, or just Bryan v. HHH, be the first match on the card, with the stipulation being that if Bryan wins, he will get a chance to compete in the main event later that night. So with the odds still stacked against him, he defies them by winning his first match and going on to win the championship match.

It’s just plain ridiculous that the first championship match at WM since the unification is still undecided internally.
    That’s a joke.
This is Wrestlemania for God’s sakes.
They turned Batista a heel officially and now what?
If they add a third competitor now, it will make Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber meaningless too since you don’t have to win those two matches to be in the title match at WM.
With their plans or no plans of WM and CM PUNK situation, WWE just blew it big big time.

Wondering when my previous post is ever going to show up?!

Last year fabdango n big e had their first televised wrestling match at wrestlemania. None of those two had one match on taw or smack down before they wrestled at wrestlemania.

    ME.

  • Rob ‘Richard Hammond’ Picken

    all these matches suck

Batista is on a full-time schedule. He is not a part-timer. He obviously only has a short amount of time left, but he is here for the full show.

lol…. Orton vs Batista vs HHH, right after he beats DBry in less time than Sheamus beat him a few years ago. HHH wins the triple threat with the double finger poke of doom and then Hogan comes out and they all hug and crown HHH the Eternal Grand Universal Champion of Forever.

  • rofl

That is just terrible. At least have some stipulations on these matches. How boring.

    Ortonvs vs Batista vs Goldberg

Please, if you want what’s best for business, add Daniel Bryan to the match and leave Triple H off the card this year. There are enough part-timers cashing in already (Batista, Brock, Taker, Hogan most notably).

I don’t mind if Bryan loses at Mania, as long as he wins the following night.

If the PPV event after WM is happening in Seattle like i think i read, i really don’t see Bryan winning at WM. Depends if they want the WM moment or the rapturous hometown win. People will buy WM thinking he HAS to finally win now, so by prolonging it one more month to hometown hero event, that will increase that PPV buys.

No offense to NXT wrestlers, but doesn’t having an “NXT” match on the WM card kind of defeat the purpose of BEING a developmental NXT wrestler? It’s bad enough when they do something like giving “Fandango” his first ever televised match at WM, that was ridiculous. But to just put developmental guys on the card, who aren’t even on the main roster and don’t deserve a WM yet, when there are plenty of guys ON the roster who DO deserve a spot? Just saying………
