- World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus had his 25-match TV and pay-per-view winning streak snapped on the debut episode of WWE Main Event last night. He lost to WWE Champion CM Punk in controversial fashion.

– WWE officials are still very high on Wade Barrett and are looking at him to be a top guy here soon.

– Apparently the Big Show vs. Sheamus World Heavyweight Title match at Hell In a Cell will indeed take place inside the Cell structure. Randy Orton vs. Alberto Del Rio will be the other top match for the SmackDown brand.

@Hank Moody: First, Californication? Brilliant show. Second, and more importantly, people said the same about Sheamus. “Vince will never push him ’cause he’s not from north america”. Look how that turned out.

Is it still real to you?

And my was it an awesome match. Sheamus is underated stilll. Good to see him lose though. it didnt hurt his character either. Especially since its punk.

They’re not high on Barrett, that’s BS. Vince has never pushed an English talent as a main eventer. Give him the world title and I’ll believe this.

  • diddy

Big show earned the title shot in a match vs Randy Orton that did not involve Wade Barrett in any way.

See, they SAY they want Barrett to be a top guy, but then turn around and put a guy in his mid-40’s who can barely move in the title match. WWE logic.
