After a year full of speculations, it appears former WWE Superstar Shelton Benjamin will finally be making his return to the company very soon.
It was reported before that Shelton started talking with WWE for a return in June and Pwinsider has now confirmed that the former Us Champion has signed a contract with the company.
Benjamin was originally supposed to come back after the Brand Extension in 2016 and WWE also aired promos of his return on TV too.
However, he suffered a torn rotator cuff and underwent a surgery which forced Officials to scrap the plans for his return as he was put on a shelf for about 8 months after his surgery.
While he was medically cleared back in March this year, Shelton revealed that he never officially signed a contract with the company last year so the talks had to take place once again.
It’s neither known when he’ll make his on screen return nor has it been revealed what Officials are planning for him, so it’s hard to say which Brand he will be headed to when he comes back.
