Shinsuke Nakamura to feud with current champion after Backlash

In a very interesting development today, WWE has announced Shinsuke Nakamura vs. United States Champion Kevin Owens for one of their upcoming Live Events from Bakersfield, California on June 26th.

Since the matches in WWE Live Events are often the resembles of the ongoing feuds in WWE TV, it’s speculated that Nakamura could be entering in a feud with Kevin Owens after his match at Backlash, as noted by Wrestlinginc.

Shinsuke Nakamura made his main roster debut during the April 4rth episode of SmackDown Live. Though till now he has not made his televised in-ring debut and has only been wrestling in dark matches so far.

WWE had previously announced that Shinsuke will be making his in-ring debut at Backlash and after tonight’s episode, it’s confirmed that the King Of Strong Style will be facing Dolph Ziggler on the SmackDown Exclusive PPV. You can check out the complete SmackDown results of this week here.

Given that WWE has been taking their time and building the anticipation for Nakamura’s debut, it’s believed that they have big plans for him afterwards. And a feud with Kevin Owens certainly looks to be a right choice which fans would welcome with open hands.

Although for now, this is just a rumour and what WWE has planned for the former NXT Champion will be revealed in future. Tell us in the comments who do you think Nakamura should face after Backlash?
