Sin Cara Surgery Update, One Reason Why WWE Is Pushing Twitter and More

– WWE Chief Financial Officer George A. Barrios will speak at the UBS 39th Annual Global Media Communications Conference on December 5th in New York City. A live audio webcast will be available on WWE’s corporate website.

– Sin Cara’s brother, wrestler Argos, confirmed on Facebook that the WWE Superstar had knee surgery in Houston, Texas on Tuesday after surgery was pushed back from Monday. Argos noted that the surgery went well.

– Regarding WWE’s recent Twitter craze, a top-level employee has said that WWE realizes they are going overboard with it but it’s being done to build awareness for the product. The feeling is that ratings have dropped because people aren’t aware of WWE’s product.

Yea, HHH brought Ryder back on tv. Isn’t that what everybody wanted? I didn’t but it was still a popluar choice. I was looking foward to every Raw not knowing what would happen next. Now Raw is predictable again.

@RUSTanator–It was a lot better than what we have now. Everyone complains that they want the attitude era back then bitch and moan when we get someone with an attitude like HHH back. HHH was doing an awesome job as GM. Did not see him going over anyone seems to me he was pushing some of the new talent.

Sin Cara’s brother is called Argos?

Then his cousin must be called Tescos!

  • RUSTanator

yeah it was brilliant having triple h back on the show and being involved in every major angle, being on tv all the time and going over the talent.

the year is 2003 isnt it?

  • Tombstonepiledriver

Yeah it was venom, I was really having fun with it the night only Punk, Cena, Shameus and HHH were there but then they had to yank that away from us.

Raw was getting better when HHH was running the show. For Sin Cara, I am not going to be harsh on him since he got injuried while jumping to do the move over the ropes. So he didn’t botch the move.

  • Tombstonepiledriver

@Devil_Rising, Most of this I agree with (man thats suprising) exp. the part about twatter, it is retarded. But I do disagree with the part about HHH, I think when he first came back WWE actually started getting fun again. Then they found a way to screw that up but at least I was looking forward to seeing what transpired with him and Nash. Then HHH got injured. And Yuuuup now it is the same ol shit each and every week.

  • Eddy

he didnt botch anything. his knee went out on him. It happens to football, baseball and basketball players too. so stop with all the botch nonsense people. u smarks are always way too hard on the dude.

Ratings don’t drop because of lack of awareness. Ratings drop because people are aware the product sucks. When you have the same old crap week after week, with very little wrestling, especially on Raw, then people are going to tune out. There are a lot of better things to do with one’s time than watch the “same old song and dance” on Raw every Monday. Granted, those few weeks with CM Punk last summer were fantastic and I tuned in to see what would happen. But then it went right back to snores-ville, for the most part. Not surprisingly, right after HHH-etc. started taking up TV time.

If WWE wants ratings, Twitter isn’t the answer. In fact, Twitter is retarded. If you want better ratings, make the show better. Period.

@ WWWYKI, ooow, am gonna check it, i thought when i saw it that he had some issues with the ropes. Thats why i found it weird that he grabed hes knee instead of hes head which got mixed with the bottom rope. I didnt take time to double check it so am gonna do it now on youtube…

@mabry he didn’t botch if you watch a video on youtube about it you can see his knee buckles just before he jumps over the rope

People aren’t “aware” of the product? ‘AWARE’ of a product that’s been around for half a century? LMFAO

i hadnt had the chance to watch Sin Cara that much, but when i watched Survivor Series last night the first thing that came to my mind was “wow, the botch master is at it again”, and that only because all the comments i read about how much he botches…. i must admit that during his entrence i was really scared that he would mess up, which he didnt, but ended up getting injured during the match. hope he recovers soon though….
