SmackDown Announcing Change, Matches Taped for Superstars, More

– Yoshi Tatsu vs. Damien Sandow, Cody Rhodes vs. Justin Gabriel and Alex Riley vs. Drew McIntyre was taped tonight in Bakersfield to air on this week’s WWE Superstars.

– Josh Mathews revealed on Twitter that he won’t be working this week’s WWE SmackDown but will be returning next week. Mathews is being kept off TV to sell the assault from Kane.

– Brodus Clay vs. Curt Hawkins was taped last night in Bakersfield, California to air on the second episode of WWE’s Saturday Morning Slam in a few weeks. Santino Marella was on commentary.

– The dark main event after last night’s tapings saw John Cena defeat Big Show in a No DQ match. In the middle of the match, Show cut a promo on Cena but ended up getting beat with the Attitude Adjustment.

    The WWE needs to go back to the brand extension and even go back to single brand ppvs. I was really against it back in 2002 but now I see the positives in it. They have so much talent that they aren’t using. Cody Rhodes is on the back burner when it looked like he was going to get a major push. Christian mysterious weren’t on either show this week. They need to make room for the returning Wade Barrett. Or they could just stop with the excessive replays on both shows that would help a lot
