After announcing his retirement from pro wrestling, Sting elaborated further after the Hall of Fame in a exclusive WWE YouTube interview, saying:
“The only thing I would like to share is that, man, it’s something that I battled with until all the way up to the last minute pretty much, as to whether or not I was going to retire,” Sting said. “It just makes sense right now. I mean, I don’t want to. Every wrestler, ‘One more match, one more match.’ Although I do believe wholeheartedly I could do it, I just think it’s time for me to put my boots in the middle of the ring.”
