Swagger and Colter Invite Glenn Beck to RAW, Beck Responds

– Zeb Colter and Jack Swagger posted the following video on Youtube, calling out conservative radio host and TV personality Glenn Beck. They invited him to appear on Monday’s WWE RAW to address them, using 5 minutes of uninterrupted time to get his point across:

Beck responded to Colter & Jack Swagger’s challenge, rejecting the offer. He tweeted on Friday night:

“Unfortunately I am currently booked doing anything else.”

One potential reason why it won’t happen: It would be smart. Let a “Glen Beck” imposter come out, shoot on the WWE then have Zeb come out with Swagger. Zeb will do live exactly what he did in the video, and establish a publicly identifiable difference between “fantasy and reality”.

This will cause the fans to briefly cheer, which is a good thing and Zeb can go on being a fruity “Tea Party Whack-Job” with everyone understanding he is not necessarily endorsing or “mocking” those who do. More importantly, it would cause the fans to “connect” with the wrestlers on a deeper level. Which is also a good thing, of course, which brings me to my point.

If the WWE did this, it would be a good thing, it would be a smart move to enhance public image, marketing and brand loyalty. What does Vince do when he has the opportunity, then? I submit that Vince has given us enough “Wrestlecrap” that fans expect Vince to ruin a good opportunity with another embarrassing segment that we could all have done without.

while Glen Beck said no, “Glen Beck” says yes.

for those who don’t get the quotation marks, i made a reference to a possible segment where an actor or indy wrestler will play the role of Glen Beck since the real Glen Beck said no. WWE has done this before, with Donald Trump, Rosie O’Donnell, Bill and Hilary Clinton, President Obama and infamously, Stan Kroenke, all played by actors and indy wrestlers as the real Obama, Kroenke, Clintons, Rosie, and Trump didn’t want to appear on Raw (except Trump which his fake self kinda instigate the whole Trump/McMahon feud at WrestleMania 23 where the real Donald Trump appeared on WWE TV a few times, plus he has appeared on Raw since that match too).

Beautiful shoot interview. I hope Zeb and Swagger still get their push and a chance.

By the way, I knew someone who couldn’t tell what to make of it, and looked at me funny when I kept cheering for Zeb. After showing this person this interview, the person “got it” and now also cheers.

War Zeb! (Conducter of the Zeb Coulter hype train, TOOT TOOOOOOOOOT!!!!”)
