TDS [002] – Smackdown Running Diary: WTF Christian!

8:00 – Yoo! At last Christian is World Heavyweight Champion!

8:02 – The crowd looks filled with peeps. Yeah, and he can’t carry a show…

8:03 – Yeah, looks pretty Pro-Christian right here and now!

8:05 – That’s a truly emotional Christian! Gosh, listen to the crowd reaction!

8:08 – The newly turned heel Mark Henry looks better than ever. Does he not? Before when he was heel, he always came off shitty. He walked around like an angry black man. I’m likin’ this new heel version of him, he’s cocky, and just…cool.

8:09 – The fact that Khali is out here demanding a World Title shot should be evidence enough of how depleted Smackdown’s main event scene is. They got some major stars on the horizon, but not a lot of credibility.

8:11 – Well, maybe Orton gets a bigger pop than Christian. I see he’s growing a beard. That’s one of the first signs of a heel turn. Will it happen? Who knows, but I’m a sucker for beards.

8:15 – Now, that’s not a real fair poll there. You have the fans who they’d rather see challenge Christian between a heel, a washed up horrible wrestler, and a face. Now, I wonder who’s going to win that 9 times out of ten.

8:19 – Jinder Mahal, this guy is going to be a star. I even predicted it last summer. Don’t believe me? Check this out: http://fightlifemag.presspublisher.us/issue/fightlife-magazine-the-preview/article/the-main-eventer-s-of-tomorrow . He was then known as Tiger Raj Singh, but it’s him nevertheless, and it’s from June 21, 2010. Anyways, this guys got great potential in the WWE. He has that characteristic that could make him a cocky heel much like CM Punk is. Throw in his Indian (the country) and you got yourself a star.

8:31 – You can’t argue that Sheamus and Daniel Bryan work really well together. Excellent match! Anybody who disagrees, is a dipshit!

8:33 – Sheamus is going to rise to the brands top heel by this summer. There’s no doubt in it. He’s a great wrestler, and has all the tools to be very successful. All he’s needed is a de-push to let him earn his status, and earn it he has! I’ve been a HUGE fan of his work since Elimination Chamber.

8:39 – The way Cody carries out that voice is beautiful. He’s definitely of the Rhodes family tree line.

8:45 – I’m confused with the way that the WWE is handling the Big Show and Kane. On Monday they have Kane, who’s a Smackdown star, show up and take on Mason Ryan. Now, tonight, they’re having Big Show, the guy that got drafted to Raw, show up and take on Ezekiel. Wouldn’t it make more sense if they switched it? I get that they’re the Tag champs and are allowed to show on both shows, but damn, come on.

8:50 – Wow, one of these days, Ezekiel is going to botch one of those and drop Show right on his head. The day that that happens will be too late, though. Impressive, nonetheless, that he can do that. But, it’s extremely dangerous.

8:53 – For those of you new to my columns, I have a huge Ezekiel boner. I believe he’ll be a World champion by year end. It doesn’t matter if you don’t think he’s ready. Look at the way he’s being pushed. It’s going to happen. And you heard here first from Sparty!

9:05 – I’ve got a confession to make. Smackdown sucks when they show these long Raw Recaps. I hate it!

9:09 – Okay, this is freaking ridiculous. Almost 20 minutes between meaningful segments. Oh my god!

9:11 – Talk about a squash.

9:12 – Well, my money is on Kharma taking out Alicia Fox. She has been portrayed as a face thus far, so it would only make sense.

9:13 – GET THE FUCK OUT OF THE RING YOU DUMB BIMBO!!!

9:14 – That is a sick finisher.

9:15 – Holy shit, this wasn’t in the spoilers I read! What in the great hell?!?!

9:17 – Okay, for you guys that are new to my writings. Not only am I a big Ezekiel mark, but I’m also very high on The Corre group as a whole. I must say that I am glad that the split happened this way. Justin Gabriel, Heath Slater, and Wade Barrett are just too good together, to let fall apart. Although, turning Ezekiel face isn’t the best for him on Smackdown, it does possibly lead to him going to Raw, and being the number 2 face there. Who knows honestly. I think it could lead to Skip Sheffield’s return. It’s certainly interesting to say the least.

9:20 – Wow, Sin Cara really got some air on that jump. No wonder they decided to move him to Smackdown.

9:23 – Seriously, wow, he looks polished as a mofo. It’s no doubt that great editing team.

9:26 – Chavo and Cara could definitely put on a five star clinic.

9:34 – They’re really going to give this main event a lot of time. Damn.

9:38 – You can see in Christian’s eyes how mad and scared he is. He doesn’t want to be there losing his title to the one-man-burying-machine.

9:46 – Another fucking commercial? Lol, this is getting ridiculous! I got to admit, it’s been a long time since I’ve actually sat down and watched Smackdown from start to end. So, as you can expect, this may be the last time I spend my Friday nights doing this!

9:50 – The end is coming. Not going to lie, I’m not looking forward to it.

9:51 – Those are the worst clotheslines I’ve ever seen. Oh my god.

9:52 – Sexy cross body.

9:55 – Well…

10:00 – Quite the way to end the show.

The way the show ended with nothing but Christian looking surprised for the final, what, two minutes, leads me to believe there is something bigger on the horizon. It just wouldn’t make much sense for them to air what they did, and go nowhere from there. One of them will probably turn heel. But, that’s a story for tomorrow. Tonight’s episode was pretty good, in my opinion. Besides the long commercials, and the near 20 minutes of nothing happening, it was good. Throw in two good matches, and an interesting twist in the Corre storyline, and it’s even better. Hopefully, now that we’re back to a Rock-less WWE, it’ll mean that next week we can get down to some serious business. I’m intrigued to say the least.

Line of the Night –“After 17 years of climbing the ladder…” – Christian

Match of the Night – Randy Orton vs Christian

Performer of the Night – Ezekiel (despite the falling out he had)

Grade – B-
