The broadcast team for Royal Rumble 2019 announced

WWE has announced the broadcast team for the Royal Rumble this coming Sunday.

Jerry Lawler and JBL will be on commentary for the men’s Royal Rumble match, alongside Michael Cole and Corey Graves.

The women’s Royal Rumble match will have Tom Phillips, Corey Graves, Renee Young and Beth Phoenix on commentary.

The other matches will be called by the usual commentary teams depending on the brand.

For the Kickoff show (via WWE.com): “Jonathan Coachman, Beth Phoenix, Booker T and Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler in the first hour, with Shawn Michaels and David Otunga tagging in for Booker and Lawler in the second hour. In addition, a second panel will include JBL and Charly Caruso. All the while, Kayla Braxton, Dasha Fuentes and Sarah Schreiber will be on-hand to conduct exclusive interviews.”

Mike Rome and Greg Hamilton will be the ring announcers.

HBK will eliminate AJ from the Rumble to initiate their WM match!

HBK is on the kick off panel.

Slightly confused by the picture… seeing as it gives us the 5.

LOL why so many people?, wwe doesn’t learn wtf, now is more like a talk show at ringside while there a match going on, two people in commentary is enough

  • CC

It’s only 4, but still overkill

  • Soulshroude

a 5 person commentary is over-kill. They should have saved it for Wrestlemania.

I do miss JBL on Smackdown he was awesome. Jerry Lawler let’s face it he got a new deal so he wouldn’t go to AEW but he will only show up once in a while. Beth Phoenix probably will be doing color on Smackdown some day.

Four person commentary teams, just what we always wanted. Three was nowhere near enough people.
I hope by the end of the year we have six people commentating on all matches, enjoying jokes between themselves and ignoring what is going on in the ring.
