The Rock reached out to Natalya after Jim Neidhart passed away

Natalya’s father, Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart passed away a month ago on August 13th. The Queen of Harts has received warm thoughts, prayers, and condolences from her coworkers and the WWE Universe since then as she adjusts to a life without her dad.

Natalya, along with Nia Jax and Lana, appeared on Fox 5’s “Good Day New York to promote the upcoming season of Total Divas. The host began the segment by giving condolences to Nattie, who took some time to talk about her father and all of the people that came through for her over the past month.

We’re doing okay. It’s definitely been an adjustment. The girls have been so wonderful. Everyone’s been there for me.

He was a big part of Total Divas. He’s actually in a lot of this season coming up because I was so close to him. Everyone handles grieving and death differently so I’m just taking it one day at a time.

Nattie went on to say that The Rock got in touch with her to give her encouraging words that helped her during this troubling time.

He reached out to me…he actually gave me powerful words of just not really having to say goodbye. He goes ‘You don’t have to say goodbye to your dad. You can have him forever.’

Losing a parent is definitely a difficult thing that, sadly, we all must deal with at some point in our lives. Those of us that have lost a mother or father surely understand what Nattie is going through. You feel like you’ve lost a huge piece of your life once they’re gone and at the beginning, you have a hard time figuring out what it will be like to move forward without them.

The Great One’s words are definitely some to live by in regards to loss. It’s great to see how the wrestling world has responded to the loss of the Anvil and to see the support Nattie and her family have received.
