The Truth: My Ross Report

So I haven’t really written in the past few months and my viewing of wrestling based (strike that) WWE television has not been all that consistent as of late, so rather than wait for something to jump out at me to write about, I’ ll give a Ross Report of sorts on a few things I see around the world of wrestling.

I say WWE and not wrestling based because at this point, WWE is the only thing I consider to be a wrestling program. Hang on, I am not seeing TNA isn’t talented or doesn’t produce a better show from time to time, I am just saying that I do not watch it. I mean for starters does anyone know when their program actually airs? Is it Tuesdays, Thursdays are they back on Mondays, by the time I give TNA a thought and it does take a while, I have already forgotten what day that happen to be airing their shows. That being said TNA has loads of potential but if did happen to miss an episode or twelve, I could just look at the spoilers, I believe they have already taped episodes through November at this point,  which gives me less incentive to watch.

The same goes for Smackdown, with spoilers available, I find myself rarely watching a “live” episode of Friday Night Smackdown (that name still sucks btw) but I did watch this past weeks edition and there were some things I was impressed with the first being Kane. A lot of people have talked about what a well deserved title run this is for him (agreed) so I ll focus more on his promo to kick off the show which was extremely above average. I think it was Daniel who mentioned it in his article but the whole Kane as World Champion to me takes away from his story with the Undertaker. Him trying to play the role of vengeful brother doesn’t exactly have the same impact with him as the champ. Pick a lane creative, I m not saying don’t switch from time to time, just don’t drive on the dotted line alright.

I ll leave on one last thought and that is Matt Hardy and Christian. I love the idea of these guys being paired together, whether it’s in a tag team, or hopefully in the near future a feud culminating in a ladder match, with in all likelihood a Christian heel turn. I ‘d love to see Christian stay face and succeed but that isn’t likely to happen. His best chances are as the great villain that he plays. More than any guys on the roster these two should and could be even more successful than they already are, unfortunately somebody doesn’t see it. Anyone?

I’ve got some more thoughts on Cena, Nexus, SummerSlam and a few other topics but I ll leave those for a later date, for now this is my Ross Report. Oh yea and Matt Striker, great Giant machine and Mega Powers getting ready to explode references, well done.
