The WWE Network Cracking Down On People Sharing Their Account – Details

The WWE Network is cracking down on people sharing their accounts. WWE is no longer allowing people to stream the service from multiple devices at one time.

When users attempted to stream the network on multiple devices at one time, they get an error message. Here is the message that they get:

STREAM LIMIT EXCEEDED

Our records indicate that multiple users are currently watching video on this account. Please stop playing on other devices to continue. Visit wwe.com/help for more information

wwe

Netflix, which is also a streaming service, allows multiple users on one account, but you have to pay an additional fee. WWE may be going in this direction.

Netflix will let it stream on two devices at a time. Any more than that and you have to upgrade your plan. Hopefully WWE will do this because I sometimes have the PPV’s (Do we still call them that, btw?) playing in multiple rooms.

  • MindTricked

This is straight-up bullshit. I can see a problem if there’s more than two streams going, and something should be done… but not being able to stream to more than just one device simultaneously is a horrible restriction.

just cook your damn meal before the ppv starts… or order pizza

  • This is crap! During PPVs I always have 2 streams going, one on my desktop and one on my tablet in the kitchen so I can continue to watch the PPV while I am cooking dinner but I like to leave it on in my bedroom on my desktop because I am going back and forth between the rooms while cooking and I don’t want to miss anything. Also, for whatever reason, the stream quality is MUCH better on my desktop so having to live with the lower quality on my tablet while in the kitchen blows which is one of the reasons I go back and forth between rooms. This has me tempted to cancel my subscription and go back to less than official alternatives.
