Three NXT Superstars released

Today, the WWE released three NXT stars from their developmental contracts, including one who appeared on NXT last night. Jason Cheng, Gabriel Ealy, and Tian Bing have all been released as of today.

Tian Bing, who was signed back in 2016 after getting some praise from Antonio Inoki, came into the company with a lot of hype. However, he didn’t get much screen time in the two years he was around. His biggest moment was taking part in the WrestleMania 33 Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

On NXT, Tian Bing, along with Rocky, took on Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan, with Lorcan & Burch running through their opponents. This would be Bing’s final appearance for the company.

Gabriel Ealy came into the company in 2015 with his twin brother, Uriel Ealy. Uriel was released from his contract back in June, and now Gabriel will join his brother on the independents.

The Ealy Brothers’ biggest opportunity came in the form of a tag team bout against the then NXT Tag Team Champions, The Authors of Pain.

Jason Cheng was signed in 2016 with six other Chinese Performance Center recruits. He would work a few TV matches and live events, barely ever picking up a win.
