ThunderStruck: TNA Bound For Glory 2013 Preview

TNA Bound For Glory Pre-Show Gauntlet Match

Christopher Daniels & Kazarian vs. Joseph Park & Eric Young vs. Chavo Guerrero & Hernandez vs. Bro-Mans (Bro-Mans have the benefit of the final entry into the Gauntlet.)

JT: If TNA wants to book the best of the best on the main card, they’ll go with Daniels and Kaz getting the win here. Should be an entertaining match to kick off the show.

Main Card:

-An appearance by Ethan Carter III

JT: The former Derrick Bateman is a talented and entertaining young man, and bringing him into TNA can be nothing but a positive move for the company if they properly utilize his character.

TNA World Tag-Team Titles: Gunner & James Storm (c) vs. Winner of the pre-show Gauntlet Match

JT: Gunner has made James Storm boring and is holding him back from being a huge star. TNA has held James Storm back and hasn’t used him as the star that he could be. Such a disappointing situation for Storm, but I expect that he and Gunner will retain the belts against Kaz and Daniels on TNA’s “biggest show.”

TNA Knockouts Title: ODB (c) vs. Gail Kim vs. Brooke Tessmacher

JT: Gail Kim has been the most consistent female wrestler in TNA history, and if I were booking the show, I’d have her leave as champion. Regardless of the outcome, this will be an excellent match from the knockouts that we’ve come to appreciate most from TNA.

Main Event Mafia Battle: Sting vs. Magnus

JT: I don’t know that Sting has it in him to pull a great match out of Magnus, and visa versa. As much as I want this to be a passing of the torch, I don’t think it will be the sort of match we would’ve seen ten years ago. Magnus wins but this one doesn’t deliver.

TNA X-Division Title: Ultimate X Match

Manik (c) vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Chris Sabin vs. Austin Aries vs. Samoa Joe

^Manik is the guy representing the X-Division, and he should have an amazing performance here. I expect the match to be excellent and probably steal the show. I’d book Aries to win the gold, but I could see Hardy or Sabin being booked by TNA to win the match.

Kurt Angle vs. Bobby Roode

JT: These guys put on a solid match in 2011 at Bound For Glory, but now I believe we’ll see close to a five star classic. This is my second favorite match on the card behind the Ultimate X, and I think they’ll both be excellent. Angle gets the win here on his big comeback.

TNA World Heavyweight Title: No Disqualification Match

Bully Ray (c) vs. AJ Styles

JT: I don’t care what you do to Bubba Ray Dudley, he’s not worth a hole in the ground when it comes to the main event scene. I don’t care how many years he’s been in the business, he isn’t good enough to carry a World Title or headline a company’s biggest show. AJ has his work cut out for him in this one if he’s going to put on a classic, but I think Dixie Carter helps the heel champion retain on TNA’s biggest stage.

I’ve got two matches that I see delivering, and the rest of the card will range from flop to mediocre. Not overly excited for the show, but I will be watching tomorrow night. Thanks for reading!
