We don’t waste any time, and go right into the action!

TNA World Tag Team Title Match: James Storm & Abyss vs Matt & Jeff Hardy

It goes without saying that this match, like every other on this show, is in the Six Sides of Steel. Hardys get the early advantage, hitting a series of double teams on the champions. Manik comes in, but the Hardys beat him up and handcuff him to the cage to neutralize him. Storm uses the distraction to blindside the Hardys, and he stops to try and release Manik (unsuccessfully), then turns his attention back to Matt Hardy. Storm and Abyss ram both Hardys into the cage, and the Revolution is in control as we go to commercial.

We’re back as the Hardys mount a comeback. Abyss shuts that down pretty quickly, then Storm springboards off his back with a flying elbowdrop, followed by a splash from Abyss for 2. Jeff takes the champs out with a Whisper In The Wind, followed by a series of Twists of Fate leading to a double cover on the champs that only gets 2. Storm rolls away from a moonsault by Matt and tries to climb out, but Matt stops that and climbs up to trade blows with Storm on the top rope. Matt hits a top rope Twist of Fate on Storm, but then Khoya literally reaches through the camera hole in the cage and DRAGS MATT OUT THROUGH THE CAMERA HOLE. Reminds me of that spot in Manhunter: San Francisco at the private club. Jeff is left alone in the ring, and Storm drills him with the Last Call for the win.

Winners: James Storm & Abyss

Storm goes right out to the floor and sets a table up with Khoya, and Matt tries to fight his way free, but Khoya pops Hardy up like he was nothing and plants him through the table. Storm tosses another table in the cage and Abyss sets it up, then he literally tears Manik’s handcuffs in half to release him. Storm puts Jeff on the table and Manik tries to put him through it, but Hardy moves out of the way and Manik goes through the table. Jeff goes nuts cleaning house on Storm and Abyss, then climbs the cage and tries to escape over the top. Sanada moves the door and Hardy crotches himself on it, then Storm climbs the cage and nails Jeff in the head with his cow bell, knocking a limp Hardy off the door where he bounces off the stairs and lands on the floor. Now THAT was a sick bump, but hey, it’s time for his annual vacation!

MVP is backstage giving the Beat Down Clan a pep talk, and tonight: THEY END CAREERS.

We take a look at the bump Jeff Hardy took before the commercial, then we see him getting helped to the back during the break, then we go to the cage where MVP, Kenny King, and Eric Young have come out to share what’s on their minds. MVP says the cage is dangerous, and more dangerous when the BDC is in it, and Young grabs the mic and tells Roode that he’s going to make him bleed and end his career tonight. MVP tells Roode to be smart and walk away, and not let his ego cost him his career. MVP needs to talk to Kurt Angle because they can both be reasonable at times and asks him to come out and talk like men and not like idiot products of the New York City public school system. Angle comes out with Gunner and Austin Aries in tow, and MVP says that Angle is a man short and he’ll offer them an out. He tells Gunner that he’s got a ton of promise and not to throw his career away with a stupid decision, and we all know Aries is the most selfish dude in the building, so he knows Aries will make the best decision and do what he needs to keep his pretty face intact. MVP says he talked to Angle’s doctor and knows his knee is held together with string and bubble gum, and it’ll blow up if he sneezes too hard, so if Angle doesn’t walk away now, he’ll make sure Angle never walks again. Angle says he’s the best, they came here to fight, and they’re not leaving until they kick their asses. Angle’s team rushes the ring and they brawl with the BDC, Gunner and King fight to the outside, and Low Ki and Samoa Joe come out of the crowd and join King in a Beat Down on Gunner. Low Ki holds Gunner’s arm in the cage door, and Joe smashes the door shut on Gunner’s arm with a chair, causing Gunner to collapse to the floor in pain. The BDC takes off as Angle checks on Gunner, whose status for later on tonight is now in question.

We see a video hyping tonight’s Kong vs Havok match, and that match is up…NEXT!

We go backstage where Gunner is getting his arm checked out by the trainer. He can’t even raise his arm, but he’s so determined to keep going that he promises to not just wrestle, but he wants to start the match.

Havok vs Awesome Kong

Havok tries to jump Kong in the aisle during her entrance, but Kong takes her right out with a clothesline. They keep brawling down to ringside where Havok gets an advantage after smashing Kong’s head into the ring steps, and now Havok lays Kong out with a series of hard forearms. Havok sends Kong into the cage and pulls up the ringside mats, but Kong fights her way out of the hammerlock spinebuster and smashes Havok into the door AND ring steps at the same time. That was a cool spot. Kong finally dumps Havok into the cage as the fans chant “F*** the Divas”, and now Kong has Havok where she wants her and looks real happy about it. Havok is up and they go nose to nose, then trade blows, and Havok sends Kong down with a running boot to the chest. Havok with a legdrop for 2, and Kong is right back up and nose to nose with Havok. She breaks a chokeslam attempt, Havok breaks one by Kong, they goozle each other, Kong goes for the Implant Buster, Havok breaks free and rams Kong into the corner, but Kong dodges a charge and sends Havok headfirst into the cage. Havok ducks the backfist and chokeslams Kong, but Kong is right back up, chokeslams Havok, and goes to the second rope. Havok is up before Kong can complete her move, goes up to the second rope and fires off some kicks at Kong, but Kong catches her leg, smashes it into the cage, and powerbombs Havok off the ropes. Kong goes back to the second rope, hits a splash, and gets the three count.

Winner: Awesome Kong

Really good brawl, and great way to hand Havok her first loss.

We go to a video package looking at the history between Eric Young and Bobby Roode leading into tonight’s match, and then we see both men backstage, and they’re…WALKING! They face off next!

Did you know that, if you shop at ShopTNA.com,

We see backstage two weeks ago as Velvet Sky walks into the Beautiful People locker room and tells Angelina what happened at Feast or Fired and how she got fired. Angelina gives Velvet a big hug, and starts smiling while she’s going “Awwww, you’re gone? Shut up! That’s so awful.” Velvet’s in tears and says she never wanted the team to end like this, and Angelina’s secretly thrilled that she’s the only girl in the group now. Velvet finally leaves, and Angelina looks at the camera and goes “Ugh..finally.”

The Mystery Cameraman catches up with Bobby Lashley coming out of his locker room and tells him that Angle’s looking for him. Lashley says he’s not hard to find, and walks away.

Bobby Roode vs Eric Young

Roode yells “You took everything! I’m going to kill you!” at Young, then proceeds to kick the crap out of his former partner. Young absorbs several right hands and rams into the cage, but gets a shot in on Roode and now gives Roode a couple of real good rams into the cage before hammering him with forearms. Young gets a belly to belly suplex for 2, then goes to a rear chinlock. Roode gets a boot to Young’s face, but charges right into a powerslam and Young covers for 2. Young waves to the back as he starts to choke Roode, and MVP comes out of the back with a chair, which he passes to Young through that damn camera hole. Josh suggests closing the holes in the cage, which was kind of what I was thinking, and Young misses a shot at Roode with the chair, Roode goes for the Roode Bomb, Young escapes and goes for the piledriver, Roode picks Young’s legs and catapults him into the cage to come out ahead in that exchange. Young is busted open good as he staggers back to his feet, and Roode pummels him with right hands, rams him into the cage a few more times, and flattens Young with a spinebuster for 2. Roode puts Young on the top rope and tries for a super Roode Bomb, but Young slips out of Roode’s grasp, shoves him to the mat, and connects with the flying elbowdrop for 2. Roode gets ahold of the chair and gives Young a good working over with it, calls him a sonovabich, and gives him a Roode Bomb on the chair for the win.

Winner: Bobby Roode

Roode looks down at a bloody Young in disdain, then has his hand raised by the referee.

Kurt Angle comes into Lashley’s locker room and asks Lashley to team with him because MVP has his sights set on him as well, and as Angle’s numbers dwindle, they’ll put all their focus on him. Lashley tries to walk away, but Angle shoves him into the wall and tells him to think about this and do it for himself if he won’t do it for Angle.

Spud & Mandrews vs Tyrus

This match would be more interesting if they didn’t blow the finish in the commercials they’ve been running tonight for next week’s show. The two tiny English guys try to jump Tyrus as he enters the ring, but Tyrus just destroys the both of them. Literally, this just turns into a straight up squash as Tyrus beats on both of them, no-sells their every move, and sends them both bouncing into the cage like handballs. They finally double dropkick his knees out and connect with another flurry of dropkicks before covering for 1. Tyrus wastes no time recovering and nearly suplexes Mandrews THROUGH the top turnbuckle. Spud fights Tyrus off as he climbs the cage, but instead of going to the floor, he flips EC3 off and hits a somersault dive onto Tyrus. EC3 spits at Mandrews to distract him, and Mandrews tries to come out the door and gets tripped up on the steps by EC3. EC3 grinds Mandrews’ face into the cage to distract Spud, who crawls to the door and tries to push it into EC3’s face, but EC3 barely gets grazed and sends the door crashing back into Spud’s head. Tyrus is up and hits the chokeslam clothesline for the win.

Winners: Tyrus

EC3 comes in the ring with an electric razor and tries to shave Spud’s head, but Borash uses scissors to cut the power cord and save his buddy. EC3 realizes what Borash did and chases him all the way to the back as we go to commercial.

We go backstage where Bobby Roode says he and Eric Young go back fifteen years, and in a split second, Eric Young ended it. He’ll never forget what Young did or forgive him, and he said he would make him pay, but now it’s time for him to move on and get the World Title back.

We go back to something I guess I missed earlier tonight where Robbie E challenged Brooke to a series of stupid challenges. Robbie won the stupid challenges, but Brooke got revenge by smashing his ding ding with a baseball bat and then taking a selfie with Robbie as he cringed in agony.

Video package hyping the Lethal Lockdown match we’re about to see, and then it’s…MAIN EVENT TIME!

Lethal Lockdown: MVP, Samoa Joe, Low Ki & Kenny King vs Kurt Angle, Gunner, Austin Aries & ??????

Kenny King and Gunner start us off…and we go right to commercial!

We’re back and, sure enough, King is working over Gunner’s arm. He gets too cocky though, and gets backdropped into the cage. Gunner follows that up by ramming King into the cage again, then uses a trash can lid to part King’s hair. Gunner gets a nightstick and chokes King with it, but the clock counts down and Low Ki comes in to save King, and the two of them double team Gunner and put the boots to that bad shoulder. Austin Aries is out next in his street clothes, and he cleans house on both members of the BDC. Aries gets ahold of the nightstick and works King over with it while Gunner goes to town on Low Ki with a tennis racket. Samoa Joe comes in next and bowls right over Aries with a running elbow, then turns Gunner inside out with a clothesline. Leaping enziguiri to Aries by Joe, who then sends Aries crashing into the cage. Joe with a trash can lid conchairto to Aries, then pounds on him with a hockey stick as Kurt Angle makes his entrance and suplexes Joe, then takes King down and pounds him with right hands. Low Ki KILLS Aries with a double stomp in the corner as Joe chokes Gunner with the hockey stick. MVP is in last for his team as we go to commercial.

We’re back, and the Beat Down Clan is doing what their name says they do. MVP Yakuza kicks a trash can into Gunner’s face, but then Angle gets ahold of a trash can and runs amok with it. Joe KILLS Gunner with a Singapore cane shot to the face, then he uses it to work Angle’s knee over as well. The BDC is in firm control, but then Bobby Lashley’s music hits and he comes into the ring, takes his jacket off, and extends his hand to MVP. MVP shakes Lashley’s hand, but Lashley uses it to short clothesline him. Lashley clotheslines Joe, powerslams King, and press slams Low Ki into the cage. King stops Lashley from spearing MVP, and MVP uses the opening to nail Lashley and choke him down in the corner. The BDC is still in charge, but Angle counters a Muscle Buster to an anklelock as Gunner gets King in the gun rack, Aries gets Low Ki in the Last Chancery, and Lashley spears MVP and pins him to win Lethal Lockdown.

Winners: Team Angle

No surprise seeing Lashley join Angle’s team in the end, but a really good match to top off a really good show. 100% solid stuff from TNA this week.
