Top SmackDown Star working lighter schedule in 2018

Randy Orton SmackDown Live

From the past several years, the longtime WWE Poster Boy John Cena has been working a reduced schedule and now it appears that another top WWE Star is following the same path.

According to Pwinsider, Randy Orton is expected to work a lighter schedule in 2018 and he will be off WWE Programming in the months of February and March.

Randy is currently not featured in any prominent rivalry and he has instead been working with Shinsuke Nakamura in a tag team with no real feud.

It’s worth mentioning here that recently it was reported that some WWE Officials are considering Shinsuke to win the 2018 edition of Royal Rumble and go on to WrestleMania.

Since Randy is not featured in any major storyline, he could stay with Nakamura till the upcoming PPV and then take time off as the Japanese Star moves ahead to the title picture, if he does end up winning the bout.

Nobody saw Randy Orton winning the Royal Rumble last year did they. So I am here to say don’t be surprise if somebody else wins the Rumble.
