LISTEN: Hulk Hogan’s Racist Rant Released

As noted, Hulk Hogan sued Gawker after they released sex tapes that included himself and Bubba The Love Sponge’s then-wife Heather Clem. The case went to trial, and the jury awarded Hogan $115 million in damages.

On those tapes, Hogan can be heard using racist comments, which led to WWE firing Hogan. All mention of Hogan were removed from WWE.com and the WWE Network when he was released.

Audio from the tapes has been released.

“So it gets to the point where…I dunno if Brooke was f–king the black guy’s son, or they’ve been hanging out. I caught them holding hands together on the tour,” Hogan said. “They were getting close to kind of [inaudible] the f–king [inaudible]. I’m not a double standard type of guy. I’m a racist to a point, y’know, f–king n–ers, but then, when it comes to nice people and [redacted].”

He later said, “If we’re gonna f–k with n—ers, let’s get a rich one!”

You can listen to the audio here.

Or a member of WWE management.

if he was black and said the same thing nothing would have happened.

What was the point of releasing this tape if they were just going to bleep out everything that he said that was inflammatory?

That being said I definitely see why he got fired. Even though he was not under WWE contract when that occurred, in today’s climate of hyper-sensitivity to racism you cannot have an ambassador of your company on screen with stuff like this floating out there. Hopefully he repented, and maybe someday he will be back.
