The blue brand finally reached the landmark of 1000 episode after 19 years of running. The historic episode was kicked off with a Truth TV segment which was soon taken over by the McMahons. Tension started brewing between Daniel Bryan and WWE Champion AJ Styles after their loss to The Usos.
The Evolution reunited with Batista and Triple H giving a taste of what may come in the next few months, Edge made his return as well with a Cutting Edge segment hosting SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch.
The Bar claimed the SmackDown tag team titles with a little bit of help from Big Show while Mysterio qualified for the WWE World Cup with a victory over the United States Champion, Shinsuke Nakamura.
Let’s see how Twitter reacted to the historic edition of SmackDown.
What a great night celebrating 1000 episodes of #Smackdown. Thank you to everyone that has ever been a part of any episode either in front of the camera, behind it and, of course, those who watched. #SD1000 pic.twitter.com/TD48IjkX5C
