UFC on Versus 4 Earned Reported 7,792 Attendance Figure For $562K Gate

PITTSBURGH – The UFC’s Steel City debut earned a reported 7,792 attendees for a $562,310 gate.

 


 

UFC officials announced the figures following Sunday’s “UFC on Versus 4: Kongo vs. Barry” event, which took place at Pittsburgh’s CONSOL Energy Center. The night’s main card aired on Versus.

Featuring a thrilling main event between heavyweight strikers Cheick Kongo and Pat Barry, not to mention a stunning upset win by Charlie Brenneman, UFC on Versus 4’s main card aired on Versus.

UFC officials did not release the number of complimentary tickets issued, but the reported figures indicate an average revenue of $72.17 per ticket issued.

UFC on Versus 4 was expected to feature a main event between Nate Marquardt and Rick Story. However, Marquardt was a scratch prior to Saturday’s official weigh-ins, and the Kongo vs. Barry matchup was promoted to the featured slot. Brenneman stepped in to face Story in a bout that was re-slotted in the evening’s co-feature role.
