UFC officials announced on Tuesday that fans will be able to watch the Cody McKenzie vs. Yves Edwards and DaMarques Johnson vs. Mike Guymon bouts on the social networking site Facebook by simply clicking the “Like” button on the official UFC Facebook page.
The UFC Fight for the Troops 2 prelims will air live on Facebook this Saturday night. The stream, which begins at 8 p.m. ET (5 p.m. PT), precedes the night’s Spike TV broadcast of the five-fight main card.
“I’m always looking for ways to give fans fights for free, and this is just another example of that,” UFC president Dana White stated. “Facebook is such a great tool for people to stay connected, and we’re excited to put two live fights on our UFC page for free.”
UFC: Fight for the Troops 2, also known as UFC Fight Night 23, will be headlined by Evan Dunham vs. Melvin Guillard. The event will take place at Fort Hood in Killeen, Texas, and will serve as a fundraiser for the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund.
